Gordon Grove Metal Company offers the option to donate the money from scrapping your car to a chosen charity. This is great for disposing of your vehicle while helping others in the process. Lives Not Knives (LNK) is an innovative, youth-led charity that works to prevent knife crime, serious youth violence and school exclusions by engaging, educating and empowering disadvantaged young people and supporting them to enjoy their lives and improve their future prospects. We offer a unique strategy that centres around personal one-to-one mentoring, educational school roadshows, a fun after school club, and a free summer programme of activities so that all the young people we work with can overcome adversity and transform their lives. 

Mission Statement

Engage – To successfully engage as many young people as possible through: school roadshows, workshops, referrals from schools and PRU’s, and to further develop these relationships through our youth hub and summer programme.

Educate – To use workshops, roadshows, one-to-one mentoring and group mentoring to educate 9-18 year olds in schools and PRU’s as the instruments to inform young people about the effects of knife crime in order to discourage them from engaging in anti-social activities, particularly serious youth violence.

Empower – To empower young people and the wider community towards a more positive future by delivering training, offering mentorship and relationships advice, preparing them for work, and supporting successful engagement in education, apprenticeships or employment.
